When he’s not busy designing roads and traffic signals, multi-instrumentalist Jared Anderson plays guitar and sings with In The Pocket. A resident of Pleasant Valley, NY, Jared was given a guitar by his grandfather for Christmas at the age of 6, took up trumpet at the age of 10, and picked up bass and drums along the way. He also plays with growing area cover band, The BIG Shoe, and with well-established ska-rock band, PErFect ThYroID; both of whom perform regularly throughout the Hudson Valley. Unlike some members of In The Pocket, Jared doesn’t have a clever or witty ending to his bio. |

Ben Basile is a bassist from Wappingers Falls, NY. He has been playing and performing for over six years, and recently completed his studies at SUNY New Paltz. Ben has provided the bottom end for such groups as Liana & the Michaels, Quatrane, the Ben Basile Quartet, Steve Schultz, and The BIG Shoe, and he has become a well-known New Paltz musician. Tony Basile is a trombone player from Wappinger Falls, NY. He has been playing trombone for over 5 years and has studied music at Dutchess Community College. He enjoys dancing on stage with his trombone. Everyone tells Tony that he looks a lot like bassist Ben Basile, but he does not see the resemblance. Tony also handles lead egg shaker for In The Pocket, as well as the whole booking and management thing. |

Born on the vast outskirts of New Paltz, Christian bought his first saxophone at a garage sale at the mere age of 13. A SUNY New Paltz alum, he's covered sax for such groups as Synergy and Liana & the Michaels, and he fits right In The Pocket with his musical sexification and depraved sense of humor. His favorite drink is Tanqueray and tonic, and he loves to drive his Subaru. Seriously. Christian wants to thank God and Diageo for making all things possible. |

Steve Schultz is a Hudson Valley-based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has been writing and performing music for over a decade. Think Ben Folds meets Bruce Springsteen. He regularly performs throughout the Hudson Valley and New York City, and has been active with the Songwriters Hall of Fame and New York Songwriters Collective. Mike Siena keeps the beat and sings backup vocals for In The Pocket. A resident of Dutchess County for most of his life, he is back in the local music scene after a brief hiatus. Mike acquired his first set of drums at the age of 7 after he destroyed his parent’s dining room chairs with wooden spoons. Throughout the years, Mike has played with the rock/ska band, Rigid Groove, and has produced recordings with various local musicians on his 8-track machine. He’s got the beat and an unnatural obsession with pancakes and IHOP. |
